Most employers in my area ask for SHRM certification instead of hrci. Very interesting, I’m thinking of going for the SHRM instead. Thanks for explaining the difference. I did complete a Coursera hrci specialization certificate but it’s not the official certificate. It gives me a discount to take Aphr; however, I haven’t seen any employer in my area ask for Aphr which is the most basic certification. I live in a very competitive area with high unemployment so it’s very important to me to take the best certification. I have a BA and was going to go into a master’s program in HR, decided against it due to price.

I've never heard of the HRCI. Alot of the HR jobs I see want you to have SHRM down here in South Florida. Interesting.
