In this episode we are going look at 4 bands that pioneered the use of electronic sounds into pop/rock music in the 1960's. I apologize for not having any video clips. I was having issues with my video editor. Please check out these four bands as their music has really lasted the test of time.

Man, you don't need to take anything while listening to these albums. They are trippy as you know what. Great stuff indeed. ✌😊

Didn’t know the Italian futurist movement had this influence on Pink Floyd (and Mothers of Invention).

Listened to The American Metaphysical Circus by
The United States of America.
It sounded like something out of a horror movie. A bit tense for me.
Listened to Rose by 50 Foot Hose. More like groovy 60s music with a cool space aesthetic. I can relax to this.
White Noise (Love without Sound) gave me 70s experimental sci-fi vibes (eg THX-1138). I like it. The other tracks are good too - but more like a psychedelic episode of Sesame Street.
Can see how this led to Doctor Who.
Sampled some tracks from Silver Apples. Feels more like jazz improvisation.
Not bad but I prefer White Noise.

Thanks for introducing these obscure gems.

I use to sing in a Male Chorus that actually sang the beginning of TUSOA's "Where Is Yesterday". Only I don't remember the actual name of the piece of music? We sang the whole song in Latin. Of course the Band only does the very beginning and then breaks into their song. A UK Band called "Riders of the Mark" put out a short little 2:12 second electronic piece in 1971 that's very interesting, but tends to sway a little towards "Space Rock" with an early Hawkwind sound, but still very enjoyable.

Chaotic? Indeed. But I think you'd have to look into another genre for non-metaphorical wild. Thanks James.

I think Fifty Foot Hose sounds a little like Pere Ubu before Pere Ubu.
