The fact that this is a german-train-video without mentioning them being late a lot. We had bad weather today and the sign really said: because of the Weather, maybe all trains will be late.

I loved catching the train in Vietnam! It for sure got me there 2 hours later than scheduled and often travelled slower than walking pace, but it was comfy and the family who had the top bunks were nice. I laid on the bed and read my book, or looked out the window. Will always be in my top 3 train journeys overseas! ❤

I took the VIP class night sleeper train from Hanoi to Sapa (7.5 hr) in north Vietnam. Very punctual. The VIP cabin provides banana, potatoe crisp, a choice of wine, beer or soft drinks. The cabin is beautifully decorated. Curtains and wall with local colourful embroidery. Provides ear plug and can sleep well. The wash basin area are clean.The common toilet is tight space.

“Chapa Express”. Same cabin size as Uyen’s. 2024 rate:
USD 45 per person, sleep 4 pax,
USD 99 per person, sleep 2 pax (has 4 beds but 2 beds left empty or just 2 beds in the cabin)
