I had a cousin that was a river rat in Nam. He wasn't scared of shit when he got back! He seen way too much! And that Indian definitely knew how to fight! I miss him. He was a good man. He fought them demons for a long time after that war. Love you Howard Lee.

I love you buddy and I'm sorry about dishonorable men in our government. My brother was there too and we prayed often for him and sent care packages, and he shared them. I was eight when he landed in country. But he was very good to me. A great brother. Im just glad you made it home! I think of You guys often and have good thoughts for you. Thank you Sir!

My uncle, GMG3 VL Taylor, was a brown water sailor. River Patrol Section 532, PBR 139, stationed out of My Tho. I was lucky enough to have been able to meet his boat mates at a yearly reunion. God Bless them all!

My late father was in the Mobile riverine force. Stationed on the flotilla at Dong Tam. He was on a PBR and a Alpha boat. Miss him a lot.

Probably, the only thing harder than being ordered into harms way with your soldiers is being the only one to survive. It's also devastating to, day after day, ordered soldiers into harms way, knowing that a significant number of them will not come back.
I salute all those soldiers who will remain forever young.😢
