I've been watching a ton of your videos as of late, and I have to say that I'm REALLY liking everything you're making so far. Definitely earned a sub from me.

To all the people who keep saying about the Pi Zero, there are a couple good reasons why I didn't use it:

1. The Pi Zero is noticeably slower than the Pi2/3. Especially for GUI stuff
2. It would require a USB hub board to have the same features as the Pi2. So, when you combine the USB board and the Zero together, it will end up the same size as the regular Pi anyway.

I'm normally not really interested about stuff I see on Youtube, but as a guy who loves to tinker with kali linux 'n stuff, this got me super excited!

This is awesome man. Cleanest and thinnest build I've seen of raspberry pi laptop.

Awesome job. I never considered cutting off components to make it thinner. Kudos.

This is so helpful, a lot of what’s here will go into a design in making for my own pda

Great video. Will be making this as soon as my adafruit order comes in.
On a side note, you should do videos with Tek Syndicate, you'd fit right in imo

What a killer little build. I might have to make one of these. Thanks!

I'm working on the next version of this. Aims for this one:

- Bigger battery
- Easier/faster to make
- Custom 3D printed case
- Use the Pi 3

What other features would you like to see?

What keyboard should I take if I'm not from the UK?
Are there other alternatives that are available in Germany?

Using the two 2.5" hard drive enclosures is a great idea, I'd love to see the same sort of thing done with game controls instead of the keyboard as I feel that sort of device would be great for running RetroPie. Any idea how long the battery lasts during CPU intensive use?

This is an awesome post. Is there any chance you can go into a little more detail about the build? Not sure I understand how all the power connections work. For example, which end of the converter goes where? And where do you attach it to the Pi? Also, I assume you had to wire individually between the Pi and the PiTFT since you removed the header pins.

thats awesome but could you solder a wifi moudle to the pi's gpio directly rather than using pins

Wow! I just found about the Raspberry Pi a day ago and got really interested. I never knew you could make a freaking laptop the size of a Nintendo DS! I was going to attempt making this when I have the time and money, about how much did this cost you N O D E?
