Hello and welcome to to Skyrim Guard Tales, a cinematic Skyrim machinima series set in the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim! The videos follow Jesper the Guard and his group of companions as they navigate the ins and outs of Tamriel.

Created by Jared Alexander, this Skyrim roleplay series combines classic Skyrim moments, comedic Skyrim storytelling, as well as original Skyrim gameplay content using an extensive fully modded game. I love Dave's evolution as a character going from a pretty chill guy with eccentric hobbies that overshares about his past to a 4th wall breaking almost omnipotent god like entity that does just as deranged/wacky things as the dragonborn but is much calmer and less dangerous.

I really like the idea that the Elder Scrolls were laws and blueprints written by the Great Dieties - those that surpass Aedra and Daedra - blueprints that’s wrote the very foundations of all that is, was, and ever will be - which is why they’re constantly changing … and yet also consistent.

The elder scrolls are essentially a solid form of plot itself, kind of like the infinity stones in Marvel. They are described as being almost amorphous in regards to their content. Basically, what they contain and what they can do can change at any point. This makes them the ultimate deus ex machina. They literally do what the plot demands. Its why they're harmless to the dragonborn, he is simply a vessal for for the plot. It'd be like trying to drown a cup.
