We need the mom and pop shops to comeback, the general stores, increase farmers and flea markets, more smaller businesses, and we need to produce products here in America again. We need to balance things out. Everything we buy shouldn't all come from overseas. We should be more community minded. Others countries such as Europe are able to retain their charming traditional retail shops that draws tourists from all over to visit. Why? It's the experience of culture. They didn't allow larger companies to come and dominate their markets pushing out smaller businesses and therefore retaining their charming shops and neighborhoods that many people around the world go to experience! We need to build up our economy and build it up strong. I not saying we should isolate ourselves but we should be able to do business internationally without sacrificing domestic businesses. We need to balance. We shouldn't be solely dependent on purchasing foreign products to buy and to sell because disruptions of any kind will bring great hardships. We need to be self sufficient as a nation so we can help ourselves and bless others.

Consumers have been hooked on low pricing for the longest time. Those that say buy USA made, while vocal, are a small minority.

Besides, much of what is made in the USA uses components, ingredients sourced from overseas.

Apple doesn't actually make anything anymore. They are a marketing and distribution company. Only a small fraction of the retail cost goes to the actual makers of the product.
