Umidigi F2 update - Mic not working

Following @ToddTodd tip, I uninstalled all updates for Google app (and then I disable it, as I dont use it) and restarted cell phone. Now microphone is working fine.

Just to start to work from home, the phone microphone stopped working today.

Exactly the same problem for me. Started a few days ago.

The OTA update from Umidigi caused the microphone to stop working on my two Umidigi F2 phones. To fix it on both phones I rebooted the phones into the recovery screen and chose the Normal boot option. This made the microphone operational on both phones again. A third Umidigi F2 phone that my son has is running a previous OTA firmware version and has not had any microphone issues. I have advised him not to do the OTA update. Hope this helps.

It's now the begining of June, and I've applied all of the latest Umidigi updates. Sometimes the microphone stops working! I can't figure out when or why it happens. It does comes back when the phone is rebooted, but that's not a good solution. Why does it stop working? Why does it resume working when you reboot? Under what conditions does it not work?
My next move is to request a full refund from Umidigi.

I had That issue with the Microphone, but with my F2 it only has problems *when I Update Google Search!!!*

*I reinstalled the Google Update and it worked again!!!*

Just enter the factory settings and the microphone works perfectly. I know from personal experience!

My F2 microphone stooped working recently. No sound with Video recording or phone call. Mic from Bluetooth always works fine. F2 was updated to the latest about a month ago.and mic was working after updated.

Updated android system web view and google chrome... Mic will work 100% sure

I have the same problem. The microphone is not working and the Phone-Plug is somehow not really working.
I can make a phone call only with an extern microphone and I must switch the "Speaker" during the call.
If the speaker-symbol is off, I can talk. If the speaker-symbol is on, I can hear. It works like the switch at an old WalkyTalky. :-(


It looks like, all the problems (microphone, Headphone jack) are at the lower side ob the phone ... there is a PCB inside with the an soldered on microphone and Headphone jack. Possibly this circuit board is simply not connected.


During the fast work, a worker simply forgot to connect the flex cable to the lower board?
But it could also be a software-problem.

If thats happen after the updates, then I think its on the setting. Make sure to turn it off to None

I was also having the same problem, I backed up my files and data and soon after I restored the settings of the F2 and ready to work again.

Same issue here. Since updating it to the latest version, the microphone stopped working

I just had this on my F2. Was working early morning but then in the afternoon it stopped. I reset phone to factory and its working again.
