The Lambda Resistance wins because they can just scare the Combine away with their 12 different repeating face types and their identical voices. Also they have male_07 on their side so they are virtually indestructible. Also they have Gordon Freeman who can go up to 80 miles an hour backwards while going through walls.

Just an FYI, the UNSC did NOT control the galaxy, merely a relatively small portion of the Orion arm. Hence, statements like "outer rim" "core" "across the galaxy" etc, you used, in relation to galactic position, as well as overall implications are misleading at best. I only say this as it is a major point in this, if it were the whole galaxy, with Human Slipsace technology being what it was, the whole thing would have been hopeless for the UNSC. It also makes Innie attacks on inner colonies, and even Earth, actually possible.

Maybe stop including Warhammer, their factions sound like Eric Cartman from South Park, tossing in New super powers and making up new strengths and getting rid of weaknesses at a whim.

The only successful thing the Innies ever did was forcing the UNSC to create the Spartan-IIs and indirectly being partially responsible for saving humanity from extinction

Honestly, as much as I like the rebellions of the other factions, the Resistance in Half Life 2 and honestly how hopeless their fight seems from early on among the desolated City 17, the Coast etc, and the overwhelming control the Combine have with propaganda, surveillance and their oppressive nature via Civil Protection and the biological level on which they broke people was terrifying. I remember when you return to City 17 after Nova Prospekt and it was glorious and even then still an uphill battle with the odds stacked against them. My personal pick is them.

I'm offended that Eck did not mention the Traitor Legions, they are a big part of Warhammer 40K.

I would like it if Eckhart did more 40k stuff, but he definitely needs to get help from someone who has a good understanding of the setting.
