Ezekiel 36 He Will Give You A Living Heart

In Ezekiel 36 it was prophesied that God God would cause Israel to be a nation again and He would bless them and would sanctify His name so that the nations would know, I Am that I Am. The blessings by Him had nothing to do with the obedience of Israel.

He goes on to say that He would sprinkle clean water on them and they would be clean based on what He did and not on what they did. The is the picture of a better covenant that God gives. He also says that He would remove a heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. He also says that He will give a new spirit.

All of these things were done so the nations will see that the desolate land has become a garden of Eden and so the nations will know who YHWH is and what He has done.

This is a picture of God and His Grace given to and for all men. It was not based on what Israel would do and it is not based on what we will do. His goodness leads to repentance which is a new way of thinking, passing from unbelief to belief in Him and what He has given.
