Sad fun fact: Sayo wasn’t saying Gyomei was the murderer but she was talking about the demon but since it disintegrated and she was still in shock. The police assumed she was talking about him 14 years later when she came to realization of what happened that night. She felt unbelievably devastated ( and sadly was never able to apologize to him )

random fun fact: Zenitsu's senior demon slayer kaigaku, was the one of the orphans gyomei took in and he purposely removed the wisteria incense in order to let the demon inside. And the sad part was that the little girl who is now a bit older has a huge regret for that incident and never got to apologize gyomei for unintently putting him in jail.
