He's making a joke at rich people and gurus by dressing like that. He's doing that on purpose. I think he explained that a couple of times in some of his videos. I appreciate him for doing that because he's letting us be comfortable in our own skin. If my memory serves me right I think he takes some of that inspiration from something Jim Carrey said about why he acts really funny and weird because he wants other people to be comfortable in their own skin too.
