Absolutely. All the modules you can learn can give all your programs a lot more cool functionality. GTK is a windowing system that's really simple and kind of fun to learn.

Every thing I try to teach on YouTube I aim to be cross-platform, so it will work on Windows as well as Linux. Things might be easier and more comfortable on Linux, but obviously you can stick with any operating system that is your personal favorite.

Usually I use a script with ffmpeg (try and google screen recording in linux with ffmpeg) or I'll work with Kazam.

Those are the only two in Linux I seem to be happy with... :[

it would be very good to have more videos about making programs more useful. can you tell more about GTK? does it work only in Linux or it can easily be used on Windows as well?
