It is weird that I just came back from checking my May hive that I used as a donor for a split not so long ago.
The may hive was '' brood bound'' if that is the right word, so I checker-boarded it with drawn comb as much as I could and wax foundation and added a super to prevent the bees from swarming.

Thanks to your videos, I know how to handle many situations now.

Question:. Will adding frames of brood with nurse bees to a small colony be any risk to the queen of the small colony? Will the newly added bees try to kill her?

Ya my bees started bringing in pollen yesterday in Little Rock, they were dry for a couple of weeks here.

As always good info. Did I hear you correct. It is illegal for you to put out harvested honey frames for them to clean up. Only can reinstall the supers.

Tennessee has to many bee rules compared to Maryland. what is the idea behind not setting your supper out to let the bees to clean them up.

Is there just one nectar flow per year? What is the time table for flows?

I have a question, ...is it possible to extract honey from a frame that also has brood on it, without harming the brood ?

Where do you learn about your state laws for beekeeping, such as having to put you honey supers back on to get them cleaned out?

Very nice. What size is your operation? What products do you sell? I think that might be a good video as well. Thanks, Chris

Hi Kamon, I found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching. Best channel I have found for a first year beek like me.

Question, I will be checking one of my hives tomorrow. About five days ago I saw that it had a few capped swarm cells. This hive has already swarmed and requeened once. Now it has exploded again and I am afraid of it swarming again. It is late July so can I still split it. You removed the queen cells right? I have heard to remove the queen and requeen, or let them requeen the big hive. It feels late in the season. I am just not sure what to do. I have a five frame nuc box I can use for now.
Thanks. Any advice is appreciated.

I have noticed that you like to use migratory hive covers. My question is why you put them on the hive upside down or is it everybody else who uses them that is putting them upside down?

So how is the new veil working relative to your old one?
