Repairing a Nokia Lumia 925 screen. I needed to replace the screen on my 925 so I made a video of how I did it. Proceed with caution.

I used the steps shown in this video and did it myself... thanks for the video. .. I did two things differently.
1.used the kitchen electric burners as I did not have the heat gun to heat the glue and remove the broken glass.
2. Bought a super glue to stick the LCD back.
key is to do it carefully and slowly.

*DO NOT use metal tools to disconnect flex cables or connectors plugged into the motherboard.*

Using metal tools can cause bridged connections or shorted circuits. Especially if the battery is still connected, but even if it's not, capacitors on the board may still hold a charge.

*It's much safer to use antistatic/plastic tools.* (I learned this the hard way when I had to replace a, once perfectly good, charge port after using a metal pry tool to disconnect a battery during a screen repair.)

I got it from an ebay reseller for $129. It shipped from China with the torx screwdrivers a couple of other tools, which was unexpected but appreciated. It took 3 weeks to get it. The seller I bought it from was not the one that actually shipped it and I threw the package away so I am embarrassed to say I can't tell you who it came from.

great video. But, , , , how would you separate the Digitizer from the glass it self? As if only replacing the glass. Do you also use a heat gun? Thanks. again. Please respond...

Thanks for that. I've seen that they can sell only the glass of the digitizer. So, Can we remove the device of the new screen.

Hello Robert great video - I'm just curious can I remove the screen off a good Lumia 925 and put it on the crack one ? As I have 2 and am considering harvesting it for parts

My Nokia lumia went off and wouldn't come up again even when I press the power and the volume down combination.

i have a Nokia 925 it has a broken clear screen but the phone continues to work i want to repair the screen by removing the screen from the digitizer my question is how to separate the screen and digitizer

Does anyone know what sort of tape to use? Looks like most screens don't come with it and the thickness of the tape must be important to get good alignment with the side of the frame.
