Why don't we talk about about depression in society? Where can I have a safe place to talk about depression? Is anyone else going through my pain?

Thank you for sharing!! I am currently writing a Press Release on ways to change the way employees are supported by their company as going through my internship program i sometimes wished i was better supported. I understand exactly how you feel even though i have not dealt with EAP before. After doing research and now hearing your story i have many ideas in which this experience and many others can improve. Again, Thank you for your Transparency!! Hopefully sometime in the foreseeable future we will see these necessary changes implemented at major companies that inspire other companies to do the same! Stay You, Stay Strong!! Your story is worth listening to. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry it was awful. I have tried using them a couple times and it wasn't great. Antidepressants were more helpful than the therapy sessions.

Thank you for this video. My employer has ComPsych EAP but I can’t seem to find much in the way of reviews.

I think the EAP program shouldn't even exist. I worked for Publix from 2004 to 2010 and I was suffering from so much depression that it provoked me into drinking allot. I was then hospitalized, then when I was released from the hospital, they fired me. The EAP program even claimed to help workers who have a drug or alcohol problem, but it doesn't. I think it's just a waist of the company's money and I would think to fire someone, you don't need any special program for that. For that, I will never work for a large company again.

My EAP program only gives you one counselor’s information at a time. They refuse to provide a list or even several providers to choose from. The first counselor I was assigned to flat-out told me she doesn’t deal with my issue. The second counselor was super religious and a bad fit for me. :( I’m sorry you had bad experiences and hope you are doing ok

Stop drinking. Do some daily push ups. Fix your posture. Minimize leaning over, so no slouching. Stop complaining and start thanking. Even if it feels like you're losing. Do these things and you'll be alright
