Gagne threw a version of a changeup called the "Vulcan" change due to the grip on the ball when throwing it. Only a few guys throw it today, John Gant is the only one I can think of.

2004, first time that both the Dodgers and Angels made the postseason at the same time. Both lost in the Division Series to the two pennant winners (Cardinals, RSOX)

The most dominant pitcher I have seen in 30 years. He would make all stars look foolish

I remember watching him pitch in Albuquerque at the AAA level. I had no idea who he was, but he made a definite impression with those welding goggles he wore and that blazing fastball. I sat right behind the dish for a few of his starts (If memory serves correct, he was a starter in the minors) and his heater was memorable.
