"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, and it's still a classic. These stars were great when we saw them in one of the most iconic Christmas movies of all time, and many of them have gone on to play some of our other favorite characters.
Chevy Chase (Clark Griswold)
Most recently we loved him on "Community," even though his role ended in 2014. He's also made several other guest appearances on "Saturday Night Live," "Family Guy," "Hot Tub Time Machine," and "Not Another Teen Movie." He's also planning on starring in the next National Lampoon film, "Vacation."
Beverly D'Angelo (Ellen Griswold)
After her role as Clark's wife, Beverly went on to play Barbara Miller on HBO's "Entourage" and most recently starred in the film "Bounty Killer." She also had a recurring role in "Law and Order: SVU" and will also star in the 2015 "Vacation."
Johnny Galecki (Rusty Griswold)
While he's mostly known for his role as Leonard on "The Big Bang Theory," he also had a role on "Entourage" and played David Healy on "Roseanne."
Juliette Lewis (Audrey Griswold)
Despite struggling with drugs as a young adult, Juliette is now a multi-talented star who has worked in TV, movies, and music. She starred in "August: Osage County," played Tammy on "The Firm," and also formed a band called Juliette and The Licks before working on a solo singing career. She recently has returned to television.
Randy Quaid (Cousin Eddie)
Even though he has a long list of acting accomplishments, including roles in "Brokeback Mountain," "Independence Day," and "Not Another Teen Movie," he may be remembered mostly for his criminal charges. He and his wife were arrested in 2010 for felony vandalism. They then fled to Canada and claimed that people were trying to kill them.
Miriam Flynn (Catherine Johnson)
Miriam has had several roles in popular TV shows, playing parts in "Suburgatory," "Grey's Anatomy," "Desperate Housewives," and "Big Love." She has also voiced the character of Grandma Longneck in the "Land Before Time" series.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Margo Chester)
She has had a couple of big roles since she was in "Christmas Vacation," most notably as Elaine Benes on "Seinfeld." She now plays Selena Meyer on "Veep."
Nicholas Guest (Todd Chester)
Nowadays Nicholas primarily works as a voice actor, and he's had minor roles in some major movies. Some of his more current films include "Frozen," "Tangled," "Mr. Peabody and Sherman," "Big Hero 6," and "Penguins of Madagascar."
Nicolette Scorsese
Who can forget Mary, the store clerk Clark fantasizes about? After "Christmas Vacation," Nicolette had only minor roles in shows and movies such as "ER," "Boxing Helena," and "NYPD Blue" before deciding to quit the acting business in 2000.
Doris Roberts (Francis Smith)
She is mostly known now as Raymond's mom on "Everybody Loves Raymond," but she also had a guest role on "Melissa and Joey."
Diane Ladd (Nora Griswold)
