Furniture covers for outdoor furniture is best long term solution for winter and extended periods of rain or wind blowing debris. Or if you.go out of town. They are kind of expensive but needed. I Bought one really good one for my sofa and put the other cushions under the same cover. But for everyday use I cut up a thin plastic painting tarp for each cushion set on chairs and for the sofa. You can wipe the plastic down. Then if you have a party you can just take off the plastic and keep it in a bag to reuse (wipe down before putting in bag so it's clean. That way cushions never get wet and dirty.

So this is my take on it is nice but it’s just too crowded and too many pieces in a small space. Yeah, it may be cozy but you can’t move around.
