PALADIN in WotLK Classic: Was It Any Good Though?

Paladin in WotLK comes a huge way from TBC and is arguably the class that performs the best across pvp and pve content this expansion.
There is so much to say about Paladin in WotLK Classic... but just why are they so good?

My biggest problem with paladins is trying to keep track of the abilities and their names without getting a headache.

6:33 Hand of Reckoning only does the holy damage if the target is tauntable *and* if you are not being targeted by it.

there was also a 'protheal' spec in 3.1 or 3.2, stamina was giving spellpower for prot palas, so healers stacked stamina and were almost immortal in pvp

I played all three specs all throughout WOTLK and I SUCKED back then. Still cleared all the content, topped healing and dps charts. Tanked like a god. I thought I was good. My ego was immense. Its only now that I'm looking back that I realize that I was complete trash and was carried by my insanely overpowered class.

Been waiting for this video. I was a kid when Wrath came out but it was the first expansion I raided in (very casually) so I want to see the full extent of the content as an adult with my favourite class!

Normally I wouldn't comment on a video before watching but I love watching and rewatching your videos to get excited for upcoming classic content.

I started playing Wow during the final days of Vanilla. I picked Paladin! and Played it all the way until I quit during Cata. I then picked it up later in WOD, but didn't like it. When I went back to classic recently, I started again as a paladin (holy of course). I have not regretted it even though it is terrible to play (slow slow). I am so looking forward to WoTLK!

I played holy during WOTLK and it was an absolute treat to be able to heal multiple tanks at the same time while others did the off healing :)

WOTLK is the first time I wanted to play Paladin. Finally felt like a fully designed class. Only took 2 expansions.

I was a blood elf Ret paladin back in the day and I loved it. Honestly I wasn’t even good at the game, I just loved the insane amount of damage one could deal.

I was a ret main in early wow, only getting to max level at the end of TBC. When Wrath came shortly after and rets became insanely powerful, I was having the time of my life. As content went on though and ret just kept getting nerfs after nerfs, I eventually got fed up and tried out tanking and healing (I was a young teen back then and had only cared about doing damage up until that point). Now 14 years later, I wonder if I will enjoy playing ret again in Wrath Classic since I mostly had bad memories about it and didn't play much of it in the version that it's going to be in. I feel like I really should because I know this is the time period where paladin as a whole was super powerful even after nerfs, but idk.

I was a Ret main through all of WotLK and it has probably never been more powerful than it was back then. Especially at launch, the only class that could really touch you in PVP was the similarly over-tuned death knight, and my 18 year old clicking and keyboard turning self was able to easily top raid charts. I remember when they first made exorcism usable on players before it was nerfed, and it made for some hilarious 1-shot sequences, especially in low level battlegrounds.

It wasn’t a huge deal but I solo healed the second boss of vault of arch in a 10 man. I didn’t know until we cleared it when the raid leader and another member messaged me and sent me some gold because they were impressed no one in the raid died. There was a shaman that was supposed to heal but he was enhance. I did notice I was low on mana and I was having to heal every member of the raid but it felt so standard to me. Made me loving healing so much
