Excellent advice on the joint being in series. I had no idea. Now I have a "some idea" hehe. About to fab up my steering for a 36 Chevy with a crown vic front.

Rag joints are scary when you realize that you have been driving with one thats split. My ‘65 F100 had this and I didn’t notice the problem when I bought it and drove it home. If your cab mounts start to fail, …the rag joint will also fail.

Why is your first tubing piece round and the other oval? Does it have to be this way for every vehicle ? Great work 💪🏼

also known as fazzing like a drive shaft ... turns at the same speed ... look up drive shaft fazzing on you tube really interesting AND will answer a few questions ... for the rodders and off roaders ect

I’ve had rag joints fail on me. Managed to get home on black electrical tape and prayer.

Polyurethane rag joints are indestructible.
