I expected an offense that would be prepared for an aggressive pass rush. Move the pocket, quick passes, misdirection. Isolate their worst CB.

Really simple - USC just doesn't have big enough dogs in the trenches. Moss is one of the best QBs in college, but its wasted when he doesn't have any time to throw. On defense, USC isn't used to the level of run schemes that Michigan has.

Michigan had Lucas in a headlock on the game winning TD run!

Let’s be directly clear about the game of football. And USC football in this case. Especially playing in the B1G. Prepare to have a unified run blocking scheme that runs like a well oiled machine. Find as many creative ways as you can to keep the ball on the ground as your identity. Be satisfied and patient with rushing 3 to 4 yards a play. If more happens great. Use 12 personnel and 13 personnel off tackle and outside of that. Beat up that speed at DE and run physically at their CBs. It opens up sprint out, roll out, and play action plays as well as slows down the defensive rush in the process. Not to mention controlling the clock and keeping your defense OFF of the field. I said this and detailed it more on paper of who and how to get the ball to enhancing a ground game. I waited for the million dollar genius to impress me. At the games end I had a blank stare on my face for other reasons than most!

Absolutely right about the travel date . And the time management

Why didn’t Lincoln challenge the Lemon hit??

What was learned about this game is that USC is not yet to the level of Texas, Georgia, Ohio St, etc. This may not be a good enough team to score over 30 against good teams. I’ hope they learn from this loss and improve. This is on Lincoln because the “offensive guru” had two weeks to come up with a game plan and he ran out there with his usual predictable insole zone runs and typical pass routes.

Michigan isn't built to drive 80yrds, Michigan drives 80yrds. Long season left, USC isn't built for B1G O and D lines. You all will see. At least you both are giving Michigan some props. They had to play their best, control the ball, and grind the clock. USC needed to score on almost every drive, to put Michigan in a position where they aren't built to comeback, and we're not!

Bizarre fact: Lincoln Riley's record at USC is 21 - 9 so far (through the Michigan game). Clay Helton's record was 22 - 8 through his first 30 games. Thank goodness we have a strong defense or we will really be in trouble!

USC’s O line wasn’t physically big enough to stop Michigan’s defense.

That’s why an inferior team beat them. All the other things didn’t help, but size and strength were the key.

That’s big 10 football.

I like USC’s direction. They are a lot better. Offense needs to gel better. ✌️

Re: Travel. The pros are grown ass men. Teams try to minimize time away from kids and families. What works for them doesn’t work for college kids. Riley needs to get these kids out there to get acclimated early.

That game was decided before the whistle was blown. The B1G didn’t want a middle of the pac-12 SC coming in there and stomping their championship team in their first conference game. I don’t have anything to back that up but the way the officiating crew guided the game is all I need for an indictment

Time management and questionable play calling; learning lesson for Riley and Players execution. Poor Officiating. This one loss is a wake up call.

Can’t throw from your back. OL is the worst I have ever seen for SC. Come on gentlemen suck it up and protect Moss.

One answer Lincoln Riley failed again.

🚨 Wrong Michigan is built exactly to score the way they did on the last drive because MICHIGAN WINS WITH BIG RUNS IN THE 4TH QUARTER SO YOU BETTER GET THIS OUT YOUR TROJAN HEADS !! MICHIGAN GRINDS OUT DEFENSES LATE NO DIFFERENT THAN TEAMS WHO WIN WITH THE PASS that's what they did to win a National Championship 🏆☘️

You're crying about holding your left tackle lined up in the backfield the whole game

Should Riley stop playing so many receivers ? I think Duce needs more touches he’s 6’6 and physical no one can guard him jay fair needs more touches, use branch as a gadget weapon.
