Local ownership by pass-holders is the best thing that could've happened to this mountain! So happy Vail never got ahold of it.

Thanks for this video. I skied at "Killington Basin" in 1962. There was a double chair on Killington Peak and three poma-lifts to get you to the top of Snowdon. That's it. (Rams Head was under construction.) There were nice glades to the right of the pomas at the top of Snowdon which I liked very much. Very few skiers had even heard of Killington in those days, but it was known to be the last ski area still operating into May in New England.

Killington has been and is a big part of my life. I met my wife on the Superstar lift. I plan on moving there within the next couple of years. My only concern is the new village they plan to build. You missed the new peak lodge and the tunnels they built. I love Killington and so does my entire family and many of my friends. It’s a lifestyle.

I have a memory of the access road being a DIRT ROAD!!! My dad had a chance to buy property but didn’t.

I have driven past the Killington access road 50 times in my life. I never knew the place was so big.

Why does everyone ignore the original Killington gondola that went from route 4 to Killington peak?
