Great content! So is blocking the nmda receptor, that is activated by glutamate and leads to opening of calcium channels, beneficial to lower the calcium in the cytosol?!

intracellularly too much calcium is bad that's ok. But in mitochondria free calcium ion is accelarator for ATP production. MCU: Mitochondrial Calcium Unit can load at speed 1 million Ca ion / seconds into mitochondria...
