The BIGGEST Cashew Nuts Production Line You Should See: Mega Cashew Nuts Factory

The production of cashew nuts has seen significant growth over the years, with global production reaching approximately 3.85 million metric tons in 2022, marking an increase from previous years. Harvesting is a labor-intensive process, with workers carefully hand-picking cashew apples—the swollen stems of the fruit—before extracting the cashew nuts nestled within their tough outer shells. In larger-scale operations, mechanical crackers are employed to streamline the shelling process, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Once shelled, the cashew nuts undergo various processing stages to prepare them for consumption. They are dried to reduce moisture content, peeled to remove the thin, dark skin covering them, and graded based on size, color, and quality. Roasting, another essential step, enhances the nuts' flavor and texture while eliminating any remaining moisture.

Innovation in cashew nut processing has led to the creation of a variety of products, including seasoned cashew nuts, cashew butter, and even dairy-free cashew cheese. These products cater to diverse consumer preferences and dietary needs, contributing to the versatility and popularity of cashew nuts worldwide. The distribution of cashew nuts has expanded significantly in recent years, driven by growing demand and globalization. Cashew nuts are exported to markets around the world, where they are packaged into various formats, including bulk containers, vacuum-sealed bags, and smaller snack packs. Retailers, wholesalers, and food manufacturers play crucial roles in distributing cashew nuts to consumers, ensuring their availability in supermarkets, convenience stores, and online platforms.

The scale of this cashew nut production line is incredible! It’s amazing to see the advanced technology and efficiency that go into processing these delicious nuts. Truly a fascinating glimpse into a mega factory operation!

Sadly they don't show the first step where mostly women and children peel the "nuts" from the fruit. That's where a lot of them get their fingers blackened by the caustic juice i side the fruit. Eventually it leads to loss of fingers.

This has gotta be the only job where it’s acceptable to say “I really like the way you handled those nuts today“

really loved this tour of the cashew nut factory! it's fascinating to see how they operate on such a massive scale. however, i can't help but wonder if the focus on efficiency might compromise the quality of the nuts. what do you all think about that?

Wow, this video really showcases the impressive scale of the cashew nut production process! I’ve always found it fascinating how much work goes into something we often take for granted. That said, I can't help but wonder about the conditions for the workers in such massive factories. It’s great to see efficiency, but I hope they're treated fairly and paid well for their hard work. What do you all think?

Can you provide more details about the sustainability practices used in this mega cashew nut factory? Curious about its environmental impact.

I am not sure I can eat a cashew again. I thought they were expensive, now I think they should charge $150 per pound. 1 apple to each cashew and then all the processing? It is mind boggling.

Video was too long, actual process is very simple 1. Calibration 2. Cooking 3. Shelling 4. Drying 5. Humidification 6. Peeling 7. Color sorting 8. Nano pix 9. Manual Grading 10. Packing. And in this video you have showed the clips from different different factories.

great video, loved the insights into the cashew nut production process! but i've gotta say, while it's impressive to see such a massive operation, it does make me wonder about the sustainability practices in place. can these factories keep up with demand without harming the environment or the workers? that's a concern we should all think about.

What happened to the fruits where the nuts was removed? Are they being fed to pigs? Or also eaten by humans? You did not show how the shell was removed and separated. Are those cashew nuts rejected as broken in small pieces turned into cashew butter?
