Does the Bible Condemn Christmas Trees?

It's like a broken record. Every year, some atheist some new age person makes the same anti Christmas tree argument like no one has ever heard it before. Then they will be quiet till Easter, then complain about an Easter bunny. Like no one has ever heard that before.

It’s one thing to make a Christmas tree then proceed to pray and worship it and offer sacrifices to it. It’s a whole different thing if you get a Christmas tree and put it in the corner of your living room because you like the pretty colors and think it brings the room together 😂

I vaguely remember hearing Jer 10 quoted as a reason to not have Christmas trees/adorn them, but I never gave it a lot of thought. Always good to know for future reference if it does come up. I moreso hear of the occasional person not celebrating Christmas because it has pagan roots.

I've read it's unlikely Jesus was born on the 25th Dec, and most people don't give Jesus a 2nd thought at Christmas anyway, but if it some people are more likely to go to a church service at Christmas or Easter and hear the gospel, I'm all for that

Jeremiah 10:3 describes that back in his time they were practicing pagan worship of a tree and decorating it. GOD was calling it foolish back then and that it wasn't from him but from men. Living by tradition instead of his holy feast God says is of Satan to draw us away from him. God tells how to worship him and we do the opposite.

Please pray for me. I want to give up but God won’t let me because I’m walking with Jesus. So I will continue to trust in him even though I’m struggling, I will never lose hope. Jesus is the only light in this world. As a single mother things are difficult on me. My husband passed years ago I’m alone. I’m overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I’m struggling trying to support them and myself because like so many others. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place for hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid all workers must have the covid 19 vaccine. I’m waitressing and I’m so thankful to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. I get harassed and called names for simply asking for prayers, but prayers are all we need. I want to give up, but God gives me strength to keep going. I have faith God will provide. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Please pray for me and my children.

I absolutely agree about the scripture. The main thing that bothers me is the legit pagan origins of many of the Christmas/holiday rituals that Christians still practice. I don't harass people or cause a stink about it, but just because the Catholics came in and renamed these practices doesn't make them ok.

So many people try so hard to defend Christmas (not in the bible) but do not put in the same effort to defend God's Holy days (in the bible). So many are against His Holy days. They are blind.

100% agree, Jeremiah 10 is NOT talking about Christmas trees. It's talking about carved idols. Christmas haters are trying to get us away from the message of Jesus that goes out every year in December to a lost world. That is what all the Christmas hate is about. Spread the message of Jesus this time of year, not the message of hating Christmas.

yeah the thing is we aren't idolizing the tree. We aren't worshiping it and as soon as someone does worship it thats when its a problem, for that person at least.
