I recently slabbed fifteen pounds of rocks that were sold as crazy lace and flame agate. Most does not seem like crazy lace, but there are some interesting rocks nonetheless.

– KINGSLEY NORTH –
Kingsley North is a lapidary store in Michigan's U.P. They make a great cab machine and sell many other brands too. They have a huge selection rough rock, tumblers, grit, jewelry supplies etc. at good prices. I buy most of my coarse grit from here in 45 lb. bags. It's the best price I have found. If you buy using the following link, I make a small commission.

This is the cabbing machine I use:

– THE ROCK SHED –
I buy a lot of lapidary supplies from The Rock Shed. I don't make money from your purchases there, but they have good prices and good service. This is where I buy my finer grits and polish.

– AMAZON STOREFRONT –
I also have an Amazon storefront. This is where you can find other products you may have seen in my videos. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. It doesn't cost you extra.

On Michigan Rocks you can join me on relaxing rock hunts in picturesque Michigan. I'll also show you how to polish rocks and teach you other lapidary techniques. New videos are posted every Friday and some Tuesdays. Subscribe now so you don't miss any upcoming videos!

This fellow and his passion for nature and rocks along with the quality of his videos(another passion, I think), as well as his effort to communicate with his viewer/subscribers is why ROCKS WILL ALWAYS BE IN STYLE.

I wonder if you can stabilize the rocks with epoxy?
Pretty cool though, good luck with your project.

eBay is definitely a gamble! A few pieces could called crazy lace. But the rest looks like red moss and flame agate from Oregon. Still enjoyed the video. Happy holidays

The last rock is the only one I would call crazy lace but the zig zag was my favorite. Thank you for sharing, never never get tired of looking at rocks!

I'm with you about the crazy lace. Not sure the seller knew his stuff. Pretty rocks though and the slabs were really nice!

Most of those are flame agates, only a few were Mexican crazy lace but not real good quality. If you would be interested in trading some of your flame agate I would be happy to get you some old stock Mexican crazy lace of mine. It’s very colorful with tight lines of colorful banding. Great video brother, thanks for sharing 👍😊

Hmm, a bit disappointing as far as crazy lace goes, but the last rock saved the day. The rock with zigzag patterns sure was interesting. Are the slaps translucent other than where the porous host rock is? Thanks for the slab show, take care!

Ok Rob, well, alot to digest...you most definitely have "Mexican red "moss" agate in there...I sure liked the piece at 10:11..u can see the mossy bits in that one. The flame agate you speak of is apparent in a few pieces, but yet if I was a betting man, I'd say the seller just threw flame in there for a sale. It's mossy to me, ..and definitely druzy with all those crystal pockets...now, that being said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder..you may not be able to use alot of that for what you intended, but I think it's great stuff!...you did get some crazy lace agate tho...some may say it's a bust, u got ripped..but to me..that rock at 10:11 has my name all over it..let me know if you want to unload some of that to recoup some costs... great show bud!

That sucks when people take advantage you. Especially When it comes to making something for a gift. I would be disappointed too. Thanks for showing us that anyway. till the next one Cheers
