Показать описание
On February 4th 1974 Heiress of the powerful Hearst family, Patty Hearst, was taken from her college dorm by a group of so-called activists- aka the Symbionese Liberation Army. Not even 13 days into captivity Patty Hearst joined the SLA denouncing her name and allegiance to her ruling family. Together Patty Hearst & the SLA hit a Hibernia Bank in San Francisco. Images quickly surfaced of the Heiress taking up arms during the heist.. bringing on a media frenzy.

The FBI and LAPD closed in on Patty Hearst & her SLA comrades- and it would all come to an end after a hellish shootout in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

What incident should I cover next? >:]

Patty Hearst's sentencing is probably one of the best examples of it not being about what you do but who you know.

I can't believe Patty Hearst got only 7 years (officially). The benefits of being the family member of someone who's rich and influential...

She literally had multiple chances to give up and run away yet she didn't that right there makes her just as guilty as the rest of them

People don’t realize how wild the 1970’s were in terms of violent crime and terrorism. Bombings, hijackings, bank robberies, hostage takings, assassinations of public figures - it was constant all over the world. Would love to see more docs on this era because it’s massively underrated in terms of wild stories.

"I'm a prisoner of war"
God that's pathetic, she was waiting for something dramatic to happen so she could have a "feeling" of purpose, that's why she converted so quickly

And people wander why the divide between people exist. Nobody without her family ties would have gotten that treatment.

90% of my reason for watching is the music... on point every time.

I was in high school when all this stuff started. Afterward, there were two schools of thought by the media. One side touted the Stockholm syndrome. The other was that a bored rich girl found some excitement. I always thought the latter.

Rich girl thats never struggled a day in her life joined a bad group, cheated on her fiancé having consensual sex with her “captors” and took part in an armed homocide. In the end she got away with it and enjoyed a life most of us could only ever dream of

Resume her life as if nothing happened is such a chilling statement of someone getting away without serving their time.

Her sentence and pardon is a failure of justice. Disgusting

Best tactical doc's on youtube. The editing is the icing on the cake.

Would you consider doing a video on the University of TX tower shooting? I find it so interesting (and sad) that the killer himself suspected a physical reason for his splitting headaches and sudden homicidal thoughts, to the point of asking to be autopsied after his death. And sure enough, they found a brain tumor that COULD potentially explain both.

My dude, I've been on YouTube for a while. I'm usually very picky and get bored of channels quite fast. Your channel is the ONLY channel that when I see a new video, no matter where, no matter when, I get super excited. Even if the video was short, you always bring it. Thank you for the content and keep it coming!

wasn’t expecting a video until at least the new year with how busy you are and taking family time etc! A pleasant surprise I must say, hope you had a great Christmas Dane! Thanks for yet another amazing video as always, even though I know the topics it’s always great to see your videos on them, you’ve just got that something different.

also, I’d still love if you made a video about the 1985 Palace of Justice siege in Colombia where 35 M-19 Guerrillas killed half of Colombia supreme justices and battled the army for hours
