I have learned a trick from this tutorial, after we create a new workout and submit, mongodb returns a copy of that object, we then save it to store state, in home componet we retrieve workouts array from store, this approach mimic realtime listener which is an awesome trick. if we want to use Mongodb realtime, we have to upgrade plan, it doesn't make sense to pay for the service if we just build personal project or simply give it a try. Anyhow, we can always learn new stuff and get inspired from Shaun, you are the best 🤩

As a developer using React every day, I would say the way you explain context and useReducer is awesome!
Thank you for keeping making videos with such good quality

Spent like an hour on this video. It's a lot to digest but I love seeing what React is capable of!

This series is awesome. Not the instructor's fault at all, as I think he's great, but this lesson was a bit of a reality check. All the way up to lesson 10, I was feeling great. I understood everything, for the most part. Then I get to this lesson and it's like hitting a brick wall and I feel completely clueless. Oh, well. Looks like I'll be watching the React Context & Hooks tutorial!

Great series, but this video lost me.

It's hard to believe it takes all this complexity, just to resolve a page update to match the database.

I started this learning and following a 15 hour full stack site form another channel and i got confused with the node express part . so i came here to this series to get knowledge and go back because this man has been the best tutor in my opinion. but then with just the 2nd video i got confused so i went back to his nodejs espress tutorial, finished it and i was blessed with konwledge. having all the confidence to complete this course and his authentication course too so i that i can go back to continue the 15 hour course. but with this video right here, daaamnn!! my confidence is back to square 0😅😅 . Guess im gonna have to go back to his context series and come back here again. wheew

This video is gold. It’s difficult to understand at first but the way you explained how it is separate to our database and is just keeping our front end stay in sync with the database helped me understand it better. So I guess this means you no longer have to reload the page the get the updates from the database, because changes made to the workouts updates the front end’s workout storage (I, E. The workouts context) so it can reflect the changes.

I've been learning React.js for the past 6 months and this video clearly explained to me how the useReducer and Context API works and what are the properties used for. Thank you so much man.

What makes this section scary is based on your ability to make the other subjects easy and simple to learn, this is probably the most simplest and basic way to learn this subject and it's still hard af to understand 😅😅
