Thank you for the review, you saved me $100. I think I will buy Helix soon, they are expensive ($400 for Mini MK2) compared to Nakamichi or this but they have almost no issues. USB audio input (HEC extension card) from Android phone or head unit will cost also additional. Nothing in the range of $300 for this functionality without sacrificing something in exchange of clean output.

Great review as usual. I am seriously looking at adding a DSP to my system and looking at the options. I am in love with the Helix ones but there is nobody near me to install and set it up. I can do the basics but would love someone to tune it properly. Peter at PS is 4hrs away from me! Keep 'em coming!

I got the Nakamichi DSP installed finally. I’ve been spending a bit of time tuning by ear and I think it’s pretty good so far. I did have to add a ground loop isolator, but other than that I think it is going to do well for my daily driver.

The low rca voltage is a killer, cranking up gains and subsequent noise floors wasn't ideal :/

Hello, I have a question, would this make a high level to low level converter? for example, at the input of the dp-x10, my car radio in "high level", and at the output of the dp-x10 used the RCA outputs. (I don't need the amplifier function) on your videos it seems that this is the case but I prefer to be sure, And for the “high level” connection, only the harness input wires would be connected? since the signal is not returned by the "high level".

Will this DSP make a noticeable difference in a 8.1 channel (oem + aftermarket sub) car with an android HU with built in DSP?

How much did you test that 4channel built-in amp? Is it stable to 2ohms? Just thinking about getting this amplifier to my wifes daily, and utilise the amplifier to drive front door 2way speakers and underseat midbass speakers.

So it has a build in amp, can you dsp tune the 4x speaker outputs too or do you have to have an external amp ?

If you get the chance to buy or are offered a Pioneer DEQ-S1000A2, I think this would fit perfectly in to compare against your other budget tests. £148 on Amazon currently with mixed reviews.

My mate bought one who was going to go for a Helix M Four DSP, he is happy with the sound for his fronts. Sounds a lot better than the stock headunit. Not good enough for me of course but seems like a good budget option. I think perhaps the RCA output for subwoofer is quite low… maybe. He has 2x JL 12W0v3s on an M One X.

i have the DP-X10b and it works fine. I just run high level from my android headunit to the dsp and it sound great. Even with the bluetooth directly to the dsp no distorion. maybe the one that you have has an issue.

DP-X10 is only suitable for analog/height level inputs. Optical input is horrible as well. For example when using a OEM head unit. And real retail price of this hardware is less than $120.

Just got the DP-x10 for my brothers truck, hopefully it doesn’t have this issue. Especially because the 16 channel model is sitting in my cart waiting for when I finish my wife’s car. My first DSP the Dayton dsp-408 had a very similar issue and it was awful and inconsistent.

Don't judge Sennuopu based on dp x10. X11 and especially 12 are significantly better. X10 has clipping on optical input. X11 doesnt
