This is a keeper! Looking back, I lived inauthentically for all my life until parents and spouse were dead, and I had retired. So, after allowing my energy to go everywhere but back into my true love (except for erratic free time to myself) I'm making up for lost time as much as I can. I had timid and harsh self criticism patterns that I am working thru and at 74, I wonder what is prudent and what I dare do. So, I hope that others can learn from my example and gather the courage to find themselves and pursue that path with persistence.

I think when looking within to look for something, even before that, it is a good thing to say: i will not judge myself for whatever i find, i will not get judged by anything that i imagine friends, familiy, all that.. might think by exactly zero percent. And do not think about success. I have seen people do what they love, everyone laughed at them, and 10 years later, everyone wanted to do what that person was starting 10 years ago. Success is something that comes from what you love to do by itself.

We should look more to be loved for who we are rather than what we do. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to keep food on the table but in that you can choose to be miserable... or choose to be loving. By being happy you raise your vibe and better things flow in your direction.. including a sense of "purpose" in being who you are. Some of the humblest people in seemingly lowly jobs are the highest evolved. Inner growth doesnt happen in the public eye... its internal and thats the most important "purpose" of all.

Love this. Last November, I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cx. It was a surprise. But 10 months down the track I'm doing pretty well. I've believed these past 3 decades that living is not just breathing in and out but how we live. Now I don't feel inspired to do as much, not even meditation and chanting. I know this would benefit me.but I felt the need for a new way to serve, and I just can't figure out what that might be. Improving my won state of mind has been important to me for decades.

The only thing I would say is that I used to get clairvoyance.

Meaning one occasion long and short of it I woke up one morning.

Took a phone call from a friend agreed to meet.

Fell back to sleep...dreamt Id gotten up showered. Drove into town parked up...walked up a stair well. Opened a door saw my ex and the guy she had gone off with

Bearing in mind i never knew who he was or ever met him it was a hunch

In that dream state became aware and went through several scenarios of how i reacted

Realised it was a dream and we had seperated some while myself awake

out the exact thing in my waking life exactly as id dreamt it

Like id watched the video twice over

Which tells tslk about past present and future.

But how did i see 2 or 3 hours ahead, precisely the occurances and then live it

If its not already played out.

The future is already told it has to be. Which i know conflicts with free will....however like the oricle says in matrix when he knocks over the plant

If he knew....would he make it any different than what it had already played out.

John, the trick is to know what the purpose is or perhaps was. When 24, I walked away from what easily should have been a fatal motorcycle crash. I had many hours afterward riding home and was convinced that at that time I had a purpose to fulfil in this life. Skip ahead, now I am 74, and amazed to still be here. I am skipping a lot for brevity sake. The question remains, have I fulfilled my purpose or is it still there to be accomplished. I have given this much thought over the 50 years, and still have no clue. I helped many people in my life through my career choice, but could there be some simple thing that is yet to happen that is the real purpose?
