Kobane: Islamic State 'apocalypse'

The Syrian city of Kobane has seen some of the fiercest fighting between Islamic State militants and Kurdish fighters. With the help of allied airstrikes, it was finally retaken last week after four months of brutal battles that saw the city all but destroyed.
Thousands of residents fled into neighbouring Turkey. A BBC team including correspondent Quentin Sommerville and cameraman Tim Facey have become the first western TV crew to return to Kobane - and they sent this report.

The kurds deserve there own kurdish state, they have proven their mettle, they're a resilient and proud people and deserve a place to call home. They need to be rewarded for their work in fighting these people on that ground when noone else wanted too
