Photography Meetups: How to build community

Talked to some friends and we decided something was missing here in the photography community. We wanted to create an authentic and inclusive space for any and everyone interested in photography—from that idea we birthed the @camerasandcoffeeclub and our first meetup was Saturday .

To say we had an amazing time is an understatement. We had about 50 people show up and mostly just word of mouth.

The beauty of building will always be more impactful than destroying. Uplift others and love others and everything else will work itself out.

Don’t be afraid to build —if you can dream it up you can take the steps and accountability to make it real and make it tangible. So often other people are looking for the same things we are looking for without us even knowing it. You can change and sometimes even save someone’s life but something that may seem insignificant.
