I had professor who didn’t care about attendance but recognized the faces of people who always showed up. The people that consistently showed up got bonus points on the final.

Imagine being Louis’ roommate he would cook for me every day as he’s the most humble YouTuber in the world

These are actually true.. I am graduating too and I really wish I stepped out of my comfort zone and made friends in college. I did indeed end up crying myself to sleep on some nights lol

As a college freshman, I need this lmao. Problem is I’m such a painfully shy person that it makes it so hard to interact and make friends with others.

As someone who's currently halfway through uni at the moment, that last part is very true - so many people will literally just walk up to you, introduce themselves, and make a genuine attempt to talk to you, and everyones equally nervous about making friends so don't worry about trying really hard to put yourself out there :))

He's right. If you dont have a social life in college, stuff gets tough tbh....Youll be okay, but you might go a little crazy needing to talk to someone but not having any social life then you have no one to talk to

Can confirm.

Except for the attendance thing, ive learned professor's that say attendance isn't mandatory usually either have a trick up their sleeve or your about to miss out on low-key the funnest class ever. I had a proffessor who gave anyone he could recognise by face and name and extra 5 points for the final exam. I had a proffessor who i had a 7 am class with who always brought us doughnuts, one time he took us out for a breakfast picnic and we had our two hour class while munching away. When attendance isn't mandatory know the proffessor is gonna be cool AF.

Honestly, having a social life is what saved my grades in college. Having friends in courses to turn to when I was struggling with concepts and then being able to explain concepts I understand when they struggled taught me my coursework WAY better than any of my professors ever did

I hated social situations going out of high school, but college helped me appreciate them lol.
Specially when you share hobbies

"Someones gonna hang out wit you stop being lame" that litteraly saved me in college . I was a shy kid that had 2 friends from elementary to highchool. I ended up finding the love of my life and found some amazing and supporting friends 😊

Making friends is seriously the best advice that’ll benefit you long term. If you gotta join some kinda club or organization do it. Some of the best friends I made in college came from my classmates though. We were all going through the exact same academic struggles so a “study group” very quickly turned into a friend group. The 24/7 eats is also extremely solid advice. Even just gas station that keeps taquitos warm at 3 AM can be the key to turning an all night study session into something that you and those new friends of yours will remember for the rest of your lives
