The coaches put Orji in a tough spot, because they didn’t give him any reps or series leading up to the USC game. That was not the game to work on the passing game, it was just a WIN THE GAME type of deal. Next week vs Minnesota Orji will throw more and we’ll see what the offensive plans are moving forward

That reminded me of the Penn State game last year, where Michigan didn't throw a pass for the final 40 minutes.

Michigan needs to add more screens with the RB & TE’s. I think the passing game will evolve over the season

This was a "Cinematic" game. On par with the Rose Bowl in terms of drama. We are so lucky to have TWO all time great wins for Michigan in the same calendar year.

Michigan's season would have been ruined if they lost. Instead, they have a path to 7-1 (with only loss to the #1 team in the country) going into the Oregon game now.

I don't really care that they had 32 yards passing. I would have been happy with a 3-2 final score. They found a way to win. That is all that matters.

No 1 wants to admit it but both USC defense and Michigan Dline took care of business. Big Blue be happy you won, congrats. Thank you to most Big Blue fans you showed nothing but class. As for the trolls act like you been here, take a few lessons and pointers from others that have been there. We will see you next year in the Colosseum. FIGHT ON!!!✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

UM should just install the wishbone with Alex Orji at QB.

People still don't get it: Trench play wins college football games. Linemen are the players that make or break teams. QBs, WRs and RBs might be more entertaining, but you can't win without winning in the trenches. Mullings scored that last TD because Michigan has a solid left tackle.

Never liked Michigan but love their philosophy! Smash mouth, ball control, time of possession, wear down the team. They play like that, they will be hard to beat

If Orji starts to develop as a passer Michigan can become very scary.

Michigan has a serious chance to be 7-1 going into that Oregon game.. if they can pull it off… THE GAME will feature most likely an undefeated OSU and a 10-1 Michigan… just gotta have some hope

It's not important that it's Sherrone Moore's Michigan, it's the style of play that fits the roster. The best college coaches make slight scheme changes to fit their personnel if necessary. They can't throw the ball consistently, but they are starting to gel the run-blocking and Wink is getting familiar with his call sheet and roster. This style of play will win them games against a lot of teams but they need to figure out how to convert 3rd and long more often against teams like Oregon, OSU and Texas.

You better put a name to Josaiah Stewart. That’s guy is a stud

Crazy to think Navy and Army threw for more yards individually than Michigan and Iowa.

Alex Orji and Kalel Mullings are the Smash Brothers.

Bully? Did you see the game? So many missed holding calls on all their scoring runs. Delay of games, 2 face mask, horse collar, illegal blindside block. I don’t think you actually saw the game

Reading comments from indignant USC fans is icing on the cake. 😂

I really didn’t see a lot of bullying going on. Except for three runs, Michigan couldn’t move the ball. Bullying would take place if Michigan went on long scoring drives. Didn’t happen. You really should check your facts before making inaccurate judgements.

We keep talking about we can’t pass, but literally we have no WRs who can get separation. We won against the 11th ranked team who was highly praised about their tackling and run defense and we dominated. Orji can only get more comfortable in the pocket these next few games and he showed he can use his legs when needed. Remember we will get Colston back, and our run game is clicking. Go blue.

Great analysis JD. You are as good as Joel Klatt when it comes to objective analysis and breaking down the film.
