why is this the only one trying a roller based system? its the only thing with less inertia than the infinadeck that isn't completely passive like a dish.

Great idea for walking, but the body's momentum won't change when changing directions virtually, which will decrease immersion.

The idea of rolling spheres seems really good for vr application. They would work with any type of shoes. If one or two goes bad, others can still receive movement info. they can be easily replaced depending on how it’s assembled. You don’t need a big treadmill to keep you in place. With ai, it could easily adapt to your walking patterns and movements over time. My main concern is dirt getting into the sensors.

Hmm, great idea however how will you stop without programming the treadmill? Maybe remove the treadmill and have a harness to hold you on place while you roll on the balls off a natural movement 🤔 this would eliminate the need for programming as well as allow the user to move as fast as they want and stop when ever with real time results.
