I discovered the Naked Sundays one thanks to your videos! Even though it’s not oil free and I have combination/oily acne prone skin, I don’t find it greasy. And the tint is not orange at all, even on my pale redhead complexion!

Thanks for this info. Kindly could you share more options for mineral sunscreen.

The Shaka fluid has a dupe from the same mother company, Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV 50+. It's cheaper and cruelty free.

Hi! I use the Missha Sun Milk (Soft Finish) SPF 50. It is liquidy, dries slightly matte, and has a light rose fragrance. I’ve used it for 2-3 years and no matter what other brands I experiment with, I come back to this one. My family uses it now too!

I started using the EltaMd sunscreen in a jar after watching you use it in a GRWM. I really like it. Leaves a slight white cast on my skin. I fixed that by adding 1 pump of DRMTLGY tinted sunscreen and mix it together. Both use the same filters.

I am so happy that Naked Sunday is approved by you, Dr Ellis. I prefer mineral sunscreen to its chemical counterpart. It’s difficult to find ‘good’ mineral sunscreen…and by good I mean, no drying, no white cast, accessible in Aus, and in my case, pregnancy-safe. I like the mineral sunscreen by Paula’s choice but it contains willow bark extract which, I understand, should avoided during pregnancy.

I have oily-combination skin and I the Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46, the Apostrophe ‘Screen, the Paula’s Choice Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense, the Australian Gold tinted version and the Zitsticka sunscreen.

ISDIN spot prevent. The best. It leaves the skin dry and is not shiny. It doesn’t leave a cast and absorbs super fast

I love that Dr Ellis is aware of Asian sunscreens and recommends them. A lot of times it seems derms in the US seem to not be aware of Asian beauty sunscreens or are only promoting US sunscreens

I have super sensitive skin - struggling with Neurodermitis - and I really like the UltraSun suncsreens “Moisturising anti-ageing sun protection in 30 or 50”. Very moisturising, like a hydrating lotion, in spring or summer you don’t need a moisturiser underneath and it’s beautiful under makeup. Their family sunscreen is also amazing 🤩 Highly recommended!

I’m allergic to octinoxate so I really like Glo Skin Solar Shade and Skinceuticals physical fusion. My husband has a darker complexion and I buy him supergoop unseen.
Any sunscreen you can get your husband to use is a winner 🤣

Thank you for sharing Asian sunscreens. I am very fair complexion redhead and am allergic to Zinc. I get the worst hives. Asian sunscreens are now my go to!

I like both the Beauty of Joseon and Isntree sunscreens. I also like the Round lab birch juice moisturizing sunscreen, very similar to the other 2.

Unseen Sunscreen is the first sunscreen I actually like using. Please let me know if it’s a good one. It’s just so nice and velvety and no issues rubbing it in. Even my son will wear it.

My holy grail sunscreen is Murad City Skin Age Defense. I would be overjoyed if I could find a great dupe because it's very expensive. It leaves no white cast and no greasy or heavy feeling.

I recently started using the Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen Tinted Face BB Cream SPF 50 in Fair/Light. The texture is nice and it evens out my skin tone - no foundation needed (and I'm 63 yo)!. It isn't drying and doesn't exacerbate my Rosecea. I'm hoping it'll be good for summer when I'm working outside in my garden!

I’ve been enjoying how color science wears through the day- it really has a nice satin finish. If I am feeling extra dry though I will reach for Elta md spf 44 UV elements. If I’m SUPER dry I’ll use the ceraVe tinted but that one is honestly a bit shiny for my liking. Color science is a perfect every day- not shiny, not matte.

Dr Ellis!
In Europe there two new chemical filters: TriAsorB and Mexoryl 400. Did you try new sunscreens with those filters? I recommend trying Pierre Fabre, Avene Intense Protect fluid to lotion, 150 ml and LOreal, La Roche Posay UVMUNE 400 non tinted cream, 50 ml. All are fragrance free. I prefer the Avene one!
