In this video, I show you how to save a picture (MMS) from your text messaging app on your Android phone. I also show you how to save a picture from the web browser. Saving a photo onto your phone is a great way to make sure you don't lose them if you were to ever delete the SMS text messaging thread or forget the web page you were visiting.

It didn't work for me at all. There was never a pulldown menu that opened up. There's an icon in the bottom let with a down arrow that on something like "Dropbox" would mean that's to download something. I clicked on that & it says "saved to your messages stored media", wherever that is. And, messing around with "bluetooth" that I never use, just made me need to restart the cell phone to get it off of spinning on attempting to find something hooked up to bluetooth.
This did not work for me at all - not even when using a stylus.

Earlier today i had a picture of me and my long time crush of two years together. I wanted to set it as my wallpaper, and to also send it to her. But i didn't know how to do it. I Dug through the deepest ditches of the internet, and went through tons of bullshit crap. Apps, tricks, updates, using your computer, ALL FOR A FUCKING WALLPAPER. Then i did this. And i was so elated i almost passed out from joy. Thank you.

Worth noting that saved images from downloaded images off the net and images from within texts can be found in the Photos app by clicking the Album icon and then Device Folders.
Internet images are stored in Root > Download, and images from texts are stored in Root > Pictures > Messenger.

I tried that with a picture and a text and it didn't work. Nothing came up when I held my finger on the picture. Please help, thank you

@square gasm: u download a editing program and go to the picture then u want go to settings and put share after go to share on the editing program and press the save button and your done

I don't get any save options.From text, if I click the image, I get 2 options, Complete action using AsTRO Image Viewer (which then says it doesn't have permission) and View Picture, which shows me the picture, but clicking and holding doesn't bring up any save options and the Menu button doesn't either. I'm on Droid 4 Android 2.3.6. Any other ideas?

I saved a pic that was attached to a message he was a top man at some give away thing I even labeled it man looks like my dad. Now I cannot find it or remember what message platform I received it on what do you suggest
