LMIA Work Permit Major Changes Announcement to curb LMIA Fraud | ZESTE IMMIGRATION 🇨🇦

Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program is intended as a special measure, to be used only when a qualified Canadian worker is unavailable to fill a job opening. Employers who hire temporary foreign workers must ensure they provide a safe and healthy workplace, treating all employees with dignity and respect.

on August 6, 2024, the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages, met with representatives from Canada’s largest business associations to deliver a clear message: the TFW Program is not a tool to bypass hiring skilled workers within Canada. The federal government is committed to taking further steps to eliminate misuse and fraud in the system.
