First Nika : Destruction
Second Nika: Liberation
Luffy: Has both Destruction & Liberation

This theory implies that Joy Boy may have had a dark counterpart, a Sad Boy, even a Bad Boy perhaps

Luffy is the sun. Blackbeard is a Blackhole, a dead sun. Two celestial spheres of which the planets revolve around. Both will bring the dawn. Just different dawns. Its all a matter of which dawn.

Hey morj. I’ve been following this idea for a while. There’s so much to this.
In summary: like you said, Blackbeard is part of the d clan, but of the dark variety. Except, Blackbeard crying under a crescent moon is a massive hint. Ultimately I believe the rest of his kind were hunted by the dawn members.

Understand captain Kuro is explicitly stated to be buffed under a crescent moon all the way back in syrup village. He’s pictured again in chapter 1090 cover under the same moon, but accompanied by 3 black cats with swirling tails, a clear reference to the darkness power.

We also have kurozumi, who is the “black charcoal” of wano among the many moon clans (amatsuki, kozuki, etc). Keep in mind both characters have split personalities/literal multiple heads. It might also be worth noting choppers backstory as a feared and hunted monster on drum, where Blackbeard is introduced in name.

The crescent moon is continually tied to the darkness, there was possibly a blood feud between these two branches of the clan. Anyway this is not a coincidence!

I think Rocks is pirate with the eye patch that oda been hyping up for years, since his silhouette only showed him with one eye before beating Loki

you're probably the best OP analyzer on this platform. you say what we know to be true but struggle to put it together in words, you're simultaneously saying the obvious and the hidden

Just reread Fishmen island. Oda’s understanding of radicalization and political/social themes is phenomenal. When Prince Fukaboshi is horrified that Hody Jones was radicalized through his environment alone, I was floored. That’s real life kind of stuff. That arc in particular is essentially the ideology between MLK vs. Malcolm X. Reform the system or flat out destroy it. The fact that Madam Shyarly predicted Luffy will DESTROY fishmen island too. This final saga is going to be insane

Ok hear me out - Nika appeared twice, once at the end of each world. The first was a destroyer, thus creating an era of war and this version of the deity. The second (Joy Boy) was a pacifist who only wanted to liberate, without fighting back, which could have caused the exact problem of the world government eventually winning the war.

What if instead of a different side of the coin, Luffy is the middle point, destruction for liberation?

Also a major difference is that Luffy doesn't have his crew with him. While Ace is someone of admirable qualities, it's still a very selfish actions with no broader concept of the literal war of pirates and Marines in Marineford and Luffy ultimately failed because he lacked the emotional maturity to talk Ace out being taunted by Sakazuki's harsh critique of Whitebeard. And out of all of the allies Luffy gained in Impel Down- only three, Ivankov, Jinbe, and Bon Kurei were ultimately on his side with the others going to form their own faction that is currently screwing over everyone as Cross Guild. Luffy on his own created a greater problem. The Amazon Lily to Marineford Arcs is a subtle, but phenomenal way to show why Luffy needs a moral compass to direct him both literally with the navigator Nami but also metaphorically with the rest of his crew to talk him out of his reckless decisions.

His crew is what helps ground him in greater empathy, truly create bonds with the people, and get him sticking on the right way to do things. At the time, the World Government was just a long-standing system and while draconian in methods with corrupt elements- especially with the World Nobles in charge, it was portrayed as the lesser of two evils and putting them down was the wrong decision at the time without greater context.

With the timeskip, it becomes clear, Imu and the World Nobles are arguably far worse than any pirates- being literal demons with a leader that goes against the foundation of the system, nukes islands on a whim, and does all kinds of horrible actions that make pirates seem like saints. Now it's very justified that they have to be taken down because now they're falling into the mold of previous villains being in the wrong for taking out their bitterness on the world. And they have to do it not like any other pirate- leave it shambles or become the new tyrant- but help to better the system via the right kind of replacement leaders.

In short. One piece’s goal is to show how to make world peace. The fact it’ll be the first piece of classic and modern media to show a genuine depiction of true and perfect world peace and have the reveal of the one piece be the biggest of all is bonkers. Oda is a smart man and we have yet just how to see how smart he truly is.

Very interesting vid! Love how you notice how Luffy acted in Impel Down and the complexity of him also being a force of destruction. Keep up the great work!

And people forget something that has already been established. In Drum Island, Blackbeard also destroyed it and kicked Wapol out, but he came back and Luffy kicked him out. That is the key. Blackbeard did not liberate the city because they lived in fear of both Blackbeard and Wapol that is until Luffy came along.
