Це композиція про війну в Україні. Монстр Ортр (від латинського
«Orthrus») - це міфічна істота, двоголовий пес із змією замість хвоста, брат Цербера. Його обрано не випадково, адже у латинській версії назви фігурує суфікс RUS як прямий ідентифікатор винуватця усіх подій, в першу чергу, на сході України. Автор каже: «Пам’ятаю, як після подій під час першого і другого «Майданів» накотилася нова інформаційна хвиля різноманітних відео- та фотоматеріалів із східного фронту (Донецька та Луганська області).
Вразило, що таке може відбуватися не лише у кінофільмах, які ілюструють людську жорстокість та брутальність, але і насправді, тепер, у ХХІ столітті! Людське життя стає все менш вартісним, а, з розвитком технологій, способи відібрати його – все масовішими і доступнішими.

Monstrum Orthrus
This music piece is about war in Ukraine. The Orthrus Monster (from the
Latin word “Orthrus”) is a mythological creature — two-headed hound with a
snake instead of his tail, a Cerberus’s brother. Not coincidentally there is a suffix “RUS” in the Latin version of the name as the direct identifier of originator of all the events, firstly in the Western Ukraine from 1932-33 till nowadays.
I remember the time when after the events of the first and the second “Maidan” a new information wave of video and photo content from the Western front line (Donetsk and Lugansk region) ran out. It made a great impression that such events happen not only in the movie which illustrate human cruelty and brutality, but in reality, today, in the ХХІ century. Human life becomes less valuable, and with technological progress the ways of losing it are more and more widespread and available.
