1: If furries are cringe then I guess cosplayers are cringe too since they do the same thing as some furries do.
2:Furries like anthropomorphic characters (platonically in most cases) and some like to cosplay characters that are anthropomorphic, so basically Disney characters at Disney land and Disney world but they do it for fun instead of being paid.
3: NOT ALL FURRIES ARE ZOOS, PEDOS, OR THINK THEYRE AN ANIMAL. I WOULD KNOW SINCE IM A FURRY AS WELL.
4: Furries don’t bark at people, or use litter boxes, or sleep in cages, or use animal fur for their suits, or any of that.
5: Furries know they’re humans. It should be pretty obvious, but for all the people who somehow don’t know, they are and know that they are humans.
6: For the people that say “furries ruined our generation” they didn’t ruin anything? And they certainly weren’t invented in the 2000’s and up either, they’ve actually been around since 1983, so that isn’t even factually or generally correct anyway.
7: Furries and Therian aren’t the same thing at all. I’ve alr explained furries so I’ll just talk about how therians are different from them. Therians are connected to animals on a non-physical level, they might have shifts or past memories of their past life or lives as an animal, but not all therians get shifts or memories or have gear and do quads. And gear and quads aren’t necessary to be a therian. Anyway time for the ‘comparison’. Furries don’t feel non-physical connections to animals at all, while therians do. Furries most likely don’t remember having or being an animal in a past life while therians do. Basically anything that makes a therian a therian, furries probably don’t do.
8: Most furries aren’t actually cringe.
9: Otherkins and furries aren’t the same thing. Otherkins are kind of like therians, because they believe they aren’t entirely human, but they usually identify fully or partially as an animal or mythical animal/creature.
Welp hopefully people are more educated on what furries are and what is and isn’t a furry.
