This is the second video in the Podman For Beginners series. In this video we will install Cockpit on OpenSUSE Linux and also run install some Cockpit extensions.

I am using OpenSUSE MicroOS for my enterprise and container setups. MicroOS is a transactional based Linux operating system. Which comes with it stricter set of security procedures. Restarting the server after each update.

Hello Robert! Do you remember what was the service which failed to start (there is red sign near "System/Services ")? Can you also observe all available applications (included not-installed) when press the "Refresh " button in the up right corner of the Application menu?
Thanks for your time and for useful guide.

Could you make a video on how to install Apache2, MariaDB, PHP and typo3? All of this using Podman and MicroOS Opensuse as operating system.

Appreciate the video, but you skipped over the user login section. I have got to the Web Interface, but it won't allow me to login in with current credentials for some reason.

Hi, I will install on SLE15.5 Enterprise server and Micro but it will not install it. On Server are not containers and on micro it will not find micros-cockpit by installing. Please is possible to help? Thanks.

Had a question about installing podman from your video. I installed Podman onto my openSUSE Leap, and so far, it shows installed, but it doesn't show on my left-hand panel.

Apologies ahead of time 🙏

Hi, how do you get the Applications tab under Tools? I don’t see any cockpit app for that.
