The m1 is based on the older chipset the a15 is newer silicon it’s kinda insane how close the a15 and m1 perform considering the m1 is impressive in a full sized laptop the a15 in a small phone is a million times more impressive wish they would just allow iOS and Mac to be dual booted on their devices like plug the phone into a dock and it loads Mac OS and when in phone mode it’s iOS same for the iPad if it’s connected to the keyboard boot Mac and solo boot iPad os

Both cpus may have 3.2 ghz but m1 has 2 more cores which can give you that extra performance

Joking aside, CPU’s are getting so fast that its getting more and more unnoticeable to casual users.

I can bet over 70% of users dont use the apps that these chips were really excelling at which is heavy duty processing.

I have the 13 Pro Max, and A12Z 12.9 iPad Pro. Unless I deliberately test the speed, They’re both equally fast.

im trying to play playstation 2 final fantasy 10 on my iphone 14 max pro. it has the a16 chip. Any idea if that will work? I know in the past it's had game breaking stuttering on mobile so just seeing if that works now?

Ipad 2021 m1 is a future proof device. Now apps support both of them probably but in the future when there will be more high quality games will come for mobile devices than if someone had ipad pro 2021 then that one won't have to upgrade soon but yes in case of iphone 13 pro max one may have to change the device after 2 years.

Let me tell you, metal score of M1 and Iphone 13 pro max, M1 was really big jump so M1 was really good GPU then suddenly your checking the iphone 13 pro max is really good GPU result, , then your wrong about it so M1 should win about it
