Hotel California Eagles intro and solo full acoustic breakdown and tab

Learn the famous intro exactly as Don Felder plays it for 6 string, as well as the full solo arranged for acoustic guitar, with full tab.

Like many guitarists, I randomly picked my way through the intro, figuring if I had the right chords and rhythm it would sound ok. But it never sounded just like the real thing. Then I saw Don Felder - who wrote the song - play it this way on a six string electric and it sounded perfect, even though the original recording is on a 12 string acoustic. So here is the way Don Felder himself plays it when he doesn't have 12 strings! He also drops it to Am instead of Bm

As for the guitar solo, it's one of the most famous of all time. But full of bends and made for the electric guitar. So I've faithfully arranged it for acoustic, staying as close as possible to the exact notes, but making it possible for acoustic guitar. I hope you like it.

This is the best lesson version on YouTube, this is the way don felder plays it live, all other lessons on utube are album version or easy version, this AM version is the 1 I want learn.bit different for me as I've always played 80s shred style, but the guitar playing on this record is a master piece.every time somone says oh I've heard your a great guitarist can you play hotel california lol, couple more days I'll be able say yes ;-) thank you very much for the lesson, you made it easy to follow, and it's note for note perfect, well done mate loved it :-)
