How To Perform Integration By Partial Fractions

Integration by partial fractions is an integration technique which uses partial fraction decomposition to simplify the integrand. The integrand is written as partial fractions and then evaluated using standard methods.

The integrals of many rational functions lead to a natural log function with absolute value expressions. This video explains what to do when you have non repeated linear factors factors.

Professor Tambuwal, thank you for an awesome video/lecture on How to Perform Integration of a Rational Function by using Partial Fractions. Professor Tambuwal thanks for the correction with the dx on both integrals.

I’m new at this but I’m concerned about the fact that when you take the denominator x-3 and define x as being equal to 3, are you not then dividing by zero?
