Newfoundland is cranking out the energy now too. Our 5th oil rig is nearly completed to go offshore soon. These are some of the biggest oil rigs in the world.
Also added another long awaited hydro power plant in Labrador producing nearly 6000 MW combined with the world class upper Churchill built back in the 60’s

An 8000 MW wind farm was just announced now that we have the maritime link connecting NL to Nova Scotia with an under sea cable, allowing Nl power to be sold to mainland Canada and US markets.
The mining sector is rapidly growing in NL
The Americans just upgraded NL’s oil refinery converting a portion of it to Bio Fuel.
NL just announced a 1.4 billion road upgrade across the province

It's investing in future, not living in the past. Public private partnerships seem like the best solution. Projects like the Detroit Windsor bottleneck defeating Gordie Howe bridge is a stunning piece of infrastructure. Which faced immense opposition from private owner of the century old dilapidated Ambassador international bridge. Imagine harnessing tidal energy of something like bay of Fundy. Solutions are out there, if we ask the right questions.

There is so much bullshit in this video it’s amazing, and by the time « they » stop talking about it, let alone starting to build something my great-great-grandchildren might see a fraction of these so-called projects finished. High speed trains ?!? These guys have to be high on good stuff. Come on ….high speed trains Toronto - Vancouver 😅. Government and private sector have been talking about a TGV from Toronto- Ottawa- Montreal since 1982. 44 years and what did they produce : fairy dust…you know the thing that shines and make your wishes come through. Reality check : it doesn’t exist ….. but it still cost a lot of hard cash to make us believe it does. PLEASE ….. less talk and more action at a cost that will not snowball by the minute.
