I liked him as a guest. He talks slowly and clearly puts A LOT of thought into what he wants to say and how he interprets situations. He would be great for deeper conversations lets say on the gender roles imposed by society, but most people want to watch an extended version of an Instagram meme. Some talk about side chicks, being obsessed with sex, and that guys are a certain way. I don't think he was a great addition to the panel because he doesn't add to the show the way people want a man to add to the show. He's clearly a very smart man who seems very enlightened and mature and I think people want a man who will reinforce what stereotypes the real usually portrays, which is frivolous, spontaneous and sex obsessed.

A lot of people are not themselves on the first date because they have their guard up and they are nervous and they don't want to make a fool out of themselves. People should be themselves on the first date because if the person don't like you for who you are from the start, then they are probably not the right person for you.

I'm a black woman and very cool with Taye Diggs. I've spoke to him and a number of times at gatherings and he's a very nice, down to earth guy. He has a right to date or marry who the hell he wants. He's not even married to Idina anymore and they've been together for years before they even got married. There is no proof nor reliable source of Taye Diggs bashing black women. Google also has website with satirical articles that people make up. The only thing he mentioned was his son being mixed, which he his. He'll still be considered black, but that has nothing to do with him dissing black women. How you're going to tell someone who you don't personally know, and more likely never get with (no matter what preferences they may have) who to date/marry and who not to? Do you want anyone deciding your love life for you? I don't think so. I know I wouldn't.
