Metallica: (Anesthesia) – Pulling Teeth (Metallica Black Box Music Video)

We recently acquired hundreds of photos shot by late photographer Russ Marino in Detroit and Chicago in 1985 and 1986. While a few of the photos got the print treatment in magazines back in the ’80s, the vast majority - many of which are alternate images from the same shoot - are seeing daylight for the first time.

Clark Eddy, whose name you may recognize from the credits of several other Metalli-projects, edited a new music video for “(Anesthesia) – Pulling Teeth” featuring some of the more electric moments and portraits.

A huge thanks to the Burton family and friends for helping us celebrate Cliff this way.

Rest in Power, Cliff. Gone, but never forgotten. An Icon to inspire generations upon generations of bassists.

I'm not a bassist, I play guitar but still this man has inspired me a lot. You guys all also did. You're the reason I'm in that place. Thank you Metallica

I love how it serves as an interlude to lead in to Whiplash. Perfect sequencing. RIP Cliff.

Even tho I wasn't born in the same era he was in, I fucking miss the man I cry everytime I hear Orion. Imagine all the other masterpiece he could've created R.I.P Cliff Burton🕊

I'm not into the " Cliff was better than.." "Jason was better than...' "Rob is better than..." Cliff Burton was unique in his own style and left an indelible mark on Metallica, on an entire genre and on people, back then and forever. And for that, he deserves to be remembered when the time is come.

I was at the Edmonton show just last week ... Orion on Night-1 and The Call of Ktulu on Night-2 .. During both when James looked at the sky and paid his tribute and respect to Cliff along with 120, 000 people on both nights, you could feel the love for Cliff throughout the stadium ! Wherever you are Cliff, love and respect ! Thank you for your awesome music. Taken too early !!!

I was Lucky enough to see Cliff play in New Orleans in 1986. Mom and dad finally let me go see Ozzy in concert and Metallica was opening. Never heard of them, but it changed everything.

I never knew it's possible to miss someone you never met so deeply until Clifford

I remember first listening to it in September 2009 at age 18. I'm a late bloomer in this context, but I love how Mr. Burton's fingers have produced rhythmic and appealing sound. Sad that he died in the September 27, 1986 accident.

I survived the May 7, 2010 bike accident. Lost the guitar playing ability due to neural damage. Still, I hope to play guitar like I used to do.

People can say whatever they want about Metallica, but they’re never, ever forgotten Cliff. And they continue to put videos like this out (as well as the incredible live videos) for all us fans. They always try to do right by us 🤘🏻
