I've been using Sonobus for a while and love it. Car checks are simple using Sonobus. In fact, if you use a remote client to monitor and control your DAW, mixing in (almost) real time from the car is pretty handy too.

I don't car check often anymore but this is a slick way to do so.

I've even sat in my car while others involved in the project did the same. Being able to talk through any device as a source and text all within the software is a cool way to get immediate feedback from others.
